* MORE TO ME *

CLAY

Who'da thought a boy like me
That no one paid much mind
Could ever turn a young girl's head this way?
Who'da guessed I'd grow to be
The fine and fiery kind
Of man I am today?
Like a river dry and shallow,
Or a field that's lyin' fallow,
I had so much still in store.

There was more to me,
And you're the only one who saw it.
Poetry,
Like water from the well you draw it.
I don't know how you move me like you do,
But there's more to me I only see with you.

MAGGIE

Who'da thought a girl like me
With brambles in her heart
Could ever be the soft and gentle kind?
Who'da guessed those words of mine
As sour as lemon tart
Were a lie to hide behind?
It amazes me completely
How the phrases come out sweetly
Like they never done before.

There was more to me,
And though I raised up walls around it,
Tenderly,
You tore the brickwork down and found it.
I don't know how you move me like you do,
But there's more to me I only see with you.

BOTH

Strange to say,
No one ever really knew me.
No, not the someone your eyes see.
Stranger still,
You are still a stranger to me.
But now I want for you to be...

More to me.
I want to memorize the story of you,
A to Z,
Because the more I learn the more I love you.
Who'd believe the change that I been through?
You believed it, so I believed it too.
Your believin' made it all come true.
That's why nobody means more to me than you.

MAGGIE

That's why nobody means more to me...

CLAY

Nobody means more to me...

BOTH

Nobody means more to me than you.
Nobody means more to me.
Nobody means more to me than you.
