SYNOPSIS *
Golden
Boy of the Ridge
is a musical adaptation
of J.M. Synge's classic Playboy of
the Western
World, transplanted from
Ireland to Appalachia, and set to a bluegrass-flavored score.
The story is set in the 1930s and all the action takes place
in a mountain outpost where J.M. McFarland lives with his
daughter Maggie.
